The high-end bathroom renovation process

A serious bathroom is defined by process control, sequencing, and tolerances — not by marble or brass.

In neighbourhoods such as Westmount, Town of Mount Royal, and Outremont, clients expect durability and zero execution mistakes. The finish is the last 10 percent of the work. The rest is waterproofing, falls, ventilation, heating, and a sequence that never traps a trade.

We begin with feasibility: stacks, structure, ceiling depths, and whether a skylight or a relocated shower is actually possible. Shop drawings follow — every drain, every valve, every stone seam. Tile and marble are not selected until the wet volume has been designed as a tank.

On site, the order is non-negotiable. Strip-out, structure, services, flood-tested waterproofing, heating, then stone, then glass and hardware. A luxury bathroom that skips flood testing is not a luxury bathroom. It is a future claim.

Commissioning is a walkthrough with the lights at night, water at pressure, and a care manual for stone and brass. The room should feel inevitable. The process behind it should be invisible.
